Today we did a lab in science. It involved cutting up raw liver and putting it in test tubes of hydrogen peroxide or water. As you may have guessed the two people who volunteered to help with this were two of the three farm boys in my class.
While they cut up the liver, they discussed what type of animal the liver had come from. I am not entirely sure, but I believe that they decided deer, because it smelled like dead deer.
By the way: The enzymes in raw liver cause hydrogen peroxide to effervesce (bubble). This will not work with raw liver and water, cooked liver and hydrogen peroxide, cooked liver and water, iron shavings and hydrogen peroxide, or iron shavings and water.
